She and Him
I have discovered a new band which i absolutely ADORE! While mindlessly scrolling through youtube videos, (usually I do this by typing random words into the search and seeing what offering it provides) I found them. The band is mainly made up by M. Ward and actress Zooey Deschanel (pronouced zo-ee not zoo-ee as I first assumed.) I love it that they cannot be defined by genre. You must check them out for yourself.

Okay, I kind of wish I could email you and introduce myself before I randomly comment but I'm too lazy to try and figure that out. I discovered your blog last Friday through Sam who follows you. I really really enjoyed it! Also, I can't wait to meet you when you come for a visit here in Cali!
ReplyDeleteHere's my blog comment: M. Ward is incredible. As the biggest Bright Eyes fan in the world I saw him sing with M. Ward several years ago and was impressed. Since then I've enjoyed a lot of his work with various artists and of course with Zooey's fantastic voice (I love her song in Elf) they make a great team.
You've inspired me to check out this cd that I've heard so much about! :)

ReplyDeleteWell, like I said, I've only just discovered She and Him on youtube but can't wait to get their cd! I loved Zooey's character in her most recent film with Jim Carrey (Yes Man) she sings some offbeat stuff in that as well. I'll have to check out bright eyes...never heard of him before, what kinda stuff does he do?
Anyways I'll be in LA at the end of this month so will meet you then I guess!
