i was gonna...

Well my friends, I was going to post all this stuff about how wonderful my weekend was with all the pictures and the hoo-ha but at this point in the week, it's almost a little too late. Tomorrow is hump day after all so I should be looking forward to the weekend coming up! Might be heading up to Whistler with Ron, if he's feeling like being nice. Should be good if that all happens. Ayla is going away for the weekend to Calgary for some bridal shower (gah) so she's been busy trying to think up some inventive games etc. Don't envy her one bit. Everything about weddings is so blah. Oh well maybe it's just the, you know, 'people' who have the gerbils and the goldfish in the bowls thinking they are oh-so-original and unique. There truly is nothing new under the sun!

I'm getting more and more excited for the time is drawing near...only 2 weeks more left of work (PAR-tay!) and then one week to get my butt in gear and pack. I'm so excited but also realising what I'm leaving behind and it's really sad. I'm going to miss everyone here- especially Ayla. You know when you meet someone and you just have lots of fun doing normal stuff together... just being dorks, meeting fun strangers and general silliness. I'm going to miss that.

It seems like every blog I write lately ends up with me talking about my leaving Canada for home but I just can't wait to see the sun! Today I optimistically wore my gladiator sandals with bare legs (of course) and no winter jacket. Hey! I looked outside and it was sunny and cloudless...in my world up until now that means sandals. However, in the great white north looks are deceiving! It was cold, no, not only cold but windy...the kind of wind that whips right through that sweater and seeps under your skin chilling you from the inside out. Lucky for me I was trapped in an underground mall with vultures picking at our sale wall (did you pick up on the sarcasm?)
