You imagine that feeling in Inception where you wake up inside a dream inside a dream inside a dream and the world feels just a little off, like somehow it's about to tilt upside down? I woke up in pitch blackness, assuming it was very early or even still very late at night. Torrential rain, thunder, lightning and a black, black outlook. I stared at my clock, willing the 9.43 to make sense. It was almost 10 in the morning- yes, it was morning. I'm still feeling a little disorientated.
I've been on a bit of a blog hiatus, you leave it long enough between posts and it just starts to loom until you feel that you have to write something epic. That's not going to happen this time.
I have been out an about over the holiday season mostly due to the fact that I am free and clear of any employment so I have been soaking up the endless days. A brief summary: Pay Registration for my car/ Car dies/ Christmas at Hervey Bay/ Rain/ Rain/ Rain/ New Years up at Mooloolabah (painting with Rach, sail board with fireworks, Josh Pyke concert, Noosa day trip) Three day holiday to Surfers Paradise with Megs, courtesy of Emerald Floods/ Dinner with Chris, Jess, Cassie and Megs at Vapiano/ Emerald Flooded/ Bundaberg Flooded/ Rockhampton Flooded/ Theodore Flooded/ St George Flooded/ My backyard flooded. (Not the pool in the backyard I had imagined)
That pretty much covers it. For now anyways...
