I'm sorry blog that it's been so long since I payed you any attention but that's just the way it is when I have actual things going on...! Leaning toward neglect but not quite at total abandonment. I've been buzzing around the countryside down at Lyndie's again for the nav run we were planning out last time. Only four cars participating this time which was a drastic drop from the 20 or so in the last one she planned! Anyways it was a 70's theme so that's where we may have had some reluctant parties. I managed to find this brilliant little dress in the Valley. It combines the orange, brown, cream and olive in a palatte to match mum's kitchen. Lovely. I was pleasantly surprised that the cut of it was actually very flattering...
Top it off with those velvet brown platforms which are about 5 inches at the back (and 3 at the front) and you have yourself a little time trip. (minus any LSD)
Three teams survived the mad winding around town and Wingham brush by obscure clues and whinging children to arrive at the beach bbq area.
On the Monday we did a bit of a beach tour, down to Elizabeth beach which was AMAZING! I kid you not, the most mesmerising beach- the water was so clear that seeing the sand 3 metres down was not a problem. A bit cold at first but the perfect temperature once you got used to it. Had a few sizable fish swimming beneath our toes too. You know how when you're swimming in a pool and you get the sun's reflections on the bottom? Like that- the feeling that you were swimming in a very large pool with a very expensive wave machine. Magic.
Did I mention that we had the beach to ourselves? Not to rub it in...well actually that's exactly what I'm doing! Below pics are are at Seal Rocks.
Where we had these two dogs for company- they were fast friends running up and down the beach, in the water and rubbing themselves into a dead bird: you know, the usual.
No small village by the sea is complete with a few handmade signs, I especially like how this political candidate so humbly declares that he is not in fact, the messiah. Good to know.
