I recently rediscovered this photo on my old computer of, no doubt, the coolest bedroom ever! I would love to live in here, that's all I have to say. I am fascinated by how you can take a space and make into something so interesting and uniquely you or take the easier option of filling it up with things that are much more functional for everyday living. I want to take the crazy child in me and create a fun place to work and relax in. Wouldn't you like to come home to this playland?
I'm starting to put some ideas together for when I have a house of my own, how I will use the space? What will I envision? Of course, it's hard when you don't have any idea what kind of house you will be in etc but it's good to dream, right?
The other day I had a craving to watch a cartoon so I rented out Horton hears a Who. For a start let me set the scene: I LOVE Dr Seuss and although I'd never read this particular book before, it was magnificent. If you haven't seen it, it's about an elephant that hears someone yelling from a tiny speck and he discovers that there is an entire city (Whoville) living on this speck. He has to convince his jungle friends that it's not just a speck and the Whos come to realise that their world is just a speck compared to Horton's world. Both parties have to convince the world they live in that they do exist. For example, a knat is tiny and insignificant to us but we in turn are very tiny to God. It really interests me that interwoven in these childrens' books are some very adult themes. Mostly, though it's just amusing tongue-twisting, imaginative fun!
