bad, bad toffifees

A tragedy has struck. It seems that I cannot escape. I went with mum into Aldi the other day (a cheap German supermarket) and while sorting through the boxes of random but very useful junk, I found Toffifees. Irish Dave got us all addicted last Christmas when someone brought them to our little gift exchange. We all scoffed them in between hot cider and rocking it out on guitar hero. Evil. I thought that once back home, it would be much easier to avoid all the good bad things that I love so much; "no more peanut butter cups or scor bars" I said to myself. This is when Australia decides to start importing all the American goodies. I even saw root beer at the corner store the other day! You can bet I bought that right up, it's still my favourite beverage. I'm waiting for the novelty to wear off but it seems like it'll be this way for a while longer. Curse American candy!

This little discovery did not help any intentions I have for living a better lifestyle through healthy eating and regular exercise. So I'm drowning my sorrows in paper folding. It's quite therapeutic actually ( I should specify that this is the case only when the duck you're folding is looking like a duck and not being smashed into the desk.) I've decided I'm going to send some of the flatter ones away, makes a great little letter accompaniment, I'm all about spreading the joy. Still landscaping for mum, feel a bit like I'm working on the chain gang (except for the chains...and the stripes) because all I'm doing is shoveling dirt. Back is aching but I'm getting a tan being out in the heat of the day. Convention is only in 10 days! I didn't realise that it was so close, here I thought that I had heaps of time to fluff around designing and making some of my skirts, now I'm kind of freaking out thinking that I bit off more than I could chew. I have time, that's the one thing I have going for me: that and cleavage!
