no see

It's been a long time without internet, through no fault of my own I might add. I am currently staying at Kirra beach (south Gold Coast) and it is just amazing, you can see the Surfer's Paradise skyline with the huge Q1 tower, brilliant! The sand is white, the water is magnificently blue and the sun is shining. Unfortunately, this is the end. I have officially resigned from my job and unofficially almost walked on them today. Such a crap company. Don't treat their employees right, it's really not good business at all. I'm finding it really tough just finishing up this week. Angel left tonight for good, she just decided to retire herself early even though her last day was meant to be Thursday. So now Dee and I have to pick up the slack of course. And there goes my day off. Bah, humbug! I secretly can't wait to be back at home gardening, pottering around on the internet and tinkering with all my second hand pieces. Something I really want to get into actually is screen-printing onto fabric. I have no idea where to start but have already got a few ideas that I really want to see how they turn out. Maybe then I can finally have an outlet for my somewhat sadistic sense of humour.

We were in Redbank last week (for those who do not know, it is so very near to Ipswich, the heart of all things bogan.) Anyways our studio was located opposite a pet store and as it was very quiet most of the time, I was a regular stickybeak. There were these really cute puppies (I have to insert here that not even as puppies are Chihuahuas remotely cute) that were bull terrier crossed with fox terrier. I wouldn't think that would be a good combo but it worked well. My favourite one was white with short hair and the face of the bull terrier, it had a black patch over it's eye. But the realistic thrill for me came when I was looking at the mice. Flashback: I had two mice when I was a kid- at different times- one was brown and white and named Patch. He escaped out of the old doll house I converted into an enclosure for him. My next one was black and white and I named her Salt and Pepper. I have previously made reference to my inept ability to name pets.

I was so excited with the idea of getting a mouse (when I finally settle somewhere semi-permanent enough for it to be feasible) that I started to design a 'mouse house.' I am such a dork. I love it though. Creating something little and cool, a little wonderland for someone else to enjoy. I love designing rooms and layout etc just making it a comfortable place for others. Or more creating a particular 'feel' to a room. I am not still talking about mouse houses just in case you were getting a little creeped out. I can't wait to get my own house! I need help to save!
