working class?

No, no, NO! Ahhhh get me out of here! Zita is leaving tomorrow and I am so sad, I'm totally paranoid about what is going to happen with these girla next! Today was my first for working with them since they got here and MAN! Teagan is great, she's great with the kids, snaps the shots quickly and can promote well too. The other two, my goodness, it's as if they have never a) held a camera before or b) held a child before! They are so awkward, which is understandable in the situation of new job, huge learning curve etc. That's not it, it's that they are so socially awkward also, like they have had no interactions with any other humans in any kind of scenario. It's all so very strange.

Anyway Ben came over to the studio just as we were finishing up and I got to vent to him for a bit, good to have a third party to observe and laugh with about the whole thing. Justin who is the team trainer was also having a bit of a laugh about various things, I don't know how he expects us to all function as a brand new team with so little training- especially those who need it the most. I get the feeling that he's trying to hide the fact that he's a little scared about the future of the team behind his positivity. Like that will make it all better. I don't know how these non-photographers slipped into this photography position but the interview process needs to be seriously reviewed. For four people to be working together and living together in these circumstances, you need strong independent people, not people who have no self confidence or have never not lived with their parents...

Enough of my whinging, I'm sorry that this has become an outlet (when I have no other) for my rantings. I really want to share my photos with you all so I'll have to see if I can make it to an internet cafe tomorrow and hook up my camera. Cairns is next on the list and we're heading there Saturday night. Teagan and I have made a pact that if we MUST share rooms that we will be together. One stipulation. We're all hoping to get seperate rooms of course, you've got to have some place to shut the door.
