Rollin' in the ROLLA!

I lived in Canada for a whole year with no car. This, I thought would have been impossible. Not only because it would be difficult to get around but because I just love the feeling of being behind the wheel and in control of something that is bigger than me. Thanks to many generous friends, I got to places and events with ease, however only got a few opportunities to drive (plus it's all backtofront over there, shifting gears with your right hand is just strange) So I still have my old car here, dad was babysitting her for a year, my '76 Corolla in fireball red. It's faded so it's actual colour is orange. I so artfully painted purple racing stripes over the top which have faded to a murky grey. Overall look: not so great. Who can argue with a $400 price tag? My rego every year costs more than that!

I'm so glad to have the freedom of the road again, exploring routes and finding new places. I'm a bit of a rev head I must admit and I'm sure that's why mum was glad when I purchased a vehicle severly limited in killing anyone. (it has four on the floor) It does go up to 130km but by then it's pretty maxed out, as you can imagine. I'm kinda proud of it in a way, it goes well for such an old beast. Crossing my fingers that what they say about toyotas is true...'they never die!'
