Having the first rain session now. It started just as it was getting dark and has been absolutely raining buckets ever since. I missed that fresh smell as the dirt is wet. I missed the heavy rain that means you have to speak louder to hear yourselves. The kind of rain that doesn't just gloat over you all day but bursts it's seams, then is over.
It has just stopped as abruptly as it began. I have gotten used to the noise of it and the silence seems alien, like something is missing. I feel like that now, since I am home. I notice Australian accents (and here in Australia, there's quite a few of them) I guess it's just if you are around something long enough, even if you are not a part of it, it becomes normal somehow. In Canada at first I noticed the accents which were unfamiliar and strange but it became ordinary. Normal. It's all what you're used to I suppose.
Again the rain shouts out.
