Whistler shenanigans

Yesterday, Ron (Ayla's boyfriend) offered to take me up to Whistler, his reasoning being that if someone was so excited to leave his country, he wanted to know what he could do to make it more appealing. So very sweet. I hadn't been up to Whistler, so up to Whistler we went. We weren't there to board so we basically just walked around the village there, had lunch and did some people watching.

Before we left we went for a drive up near UBC. Well, that was the plan at least until we come across a severe amount of police tape blocking off the whole road. I discovered today that they had in fact found the body of a jogger. Scary stuff. Oh! and also Shonna was woken up by sirens, helicopters and general commotion last night. We found out that was another shooting... at the Boston Pizza just down the road. Vancouver's such a safe place to live in.

Ron found this hat (i love hat stores btw) which added a good 3 inches to his height and looked like something out of a charles dickens novel...brilliant!
