Here it is, the Taree to Byron Bay segment all inclusive:
It's a bird! It's a plane!
Actually: plane-like resembling a bug.
Moonee Beach
This horse had crazy eyes- then proceeded to chase a nearby calf and stage a stand-off.
Stopped at Lennox Heads for sunset: strong decision making.
Byron was filled to the brim with tourists, backpackers, families, surfers, locals and other interesting specimens. We got there as the sun was going down to find that our old friend, the carpark was pretty much our only option so we set up in what we dubbed 'Wicked Central." Campers to the left of me, motorhomes to right. Every second carpark was occupied by a camper, most of them sporting the graffiti of Wicked. The city council had a field day when they booked them all at 4am in the morning. Happy Boxing Day to you too. Apparently there's no standing from 1am to 5am- missed that sign.
Rough night?
Surfing seems to be the widely recognised cure.
Most exciting looking Hop On Hop Off bus tour I've seen. Driver was trying to drum up business by driving around town and blowing bubbles out the window!
Must...have...! Analogue love in a change room.
And so, that's it! Hope you had a good time reading, laughing and marvelling at my intense photography skills.
Magic! You really captured it Sus! Anytime anyone feels like a Byron day Im up 4 it! Its such a beautiful place. Aus Day?
ReplyDeleteCan we also put a post out for my missing camera...labelled B.Collins complete with EQ.ID# 5194407. Hopefully after being used for more 'educational purposes' only it will be returned. Im still hoping it will fall out of my empty suitcase...
Bonny x
Hi L'il Susie! Loved your road trip blog- you do have a talent with words & photos. It made me remember good times with Judy on our road trip ( back in the 70's). Memories nurture friendships. Love you always,
