Have just returned from a most wonderful weekend in Maleny. Reason for weekend getaway: Shell's hens weekend. Not that we need a reason to go to a beautiful spot out of the city and breathe in some of that sweet, fresh air! Had a lovely dinner affair at the local restaurant Maudy's. Despite such a name, it had some truly decadent dishes. I feasted my taste buds on camembert cheese inside chicken and wrapped in prosciutto. Quite satisfactory.
Saturday kicked off with us all converging on the township of Maleny to serenade, photograph and entertain the locals with items checked off our Bridal Bonanza Part 1: The Hunt. Basically we were given a list of things to collect/ find/ photograph or make a fool of ourselves doing for a certain number of points. For privacy reasons I will not post any video footage of said shenanigans as I would still like to have a few friends after this post.

Delle- this hat certainly did the rounds this weekend.
Jess on the tyre swing
Sheralyn and I surreptitiously crept over the lawn to have first pick of the mulberry tree. We mustn't have done a very good job as there were soon hourdes of others willing to stain their fingers purple.
Apparently my car is the perfect photographic muse- easy to shoot and never talks back...
Wishing this photo was in focus- DARN!

You can tell from this picture that I was not the designated group shot photographer- Jess with tripod has the actual good shots. A quick rundown: Shell, Nicole, Chany, Sheralyn, Jo, Heidi, Stephanie and Delle.
All in all a successful farewell to Shelley's unwed life.
Great blog entry, Sus! Fun to see it through your lens. I hope there is some way Roxy and I can see the aforementioned video footage without it being made publicly available (eg. unlisted video on YouTube)? :D
ReplyDeleteI second the motion! Would love to see the footage. Was lovely to be there for a small part of this weekend... Btw, I love your car, Sus! What happened to your other one, or do you still have it?
