Went and saw the Maltese Falcon tonight, showing on the big screen at Chermside. We had canapes down the front of the cinema, a band playing some swinging tunes- it was all kinds of fabulous! I don't think I've enjoyed a film so much and it was in black and white...Humphrey Bogart's quips and one liners really made it.
So of course Delle and I are endeavouring to bring back some of the old world language- PDQ was our favourite (Pretty Darn Quick) among others- "a whole lot of hooey" also took the cake.
