Anyone up for some tackle waterpolo?

Who am I kidding? When does waterpolo not involve some kind of tackling? Yesterday we gathered at Redcliffe lagoon for a sunny, hot day by the ocean. It took much cajooling and one failed attempt at playing volleyball before I could entice everyone away from the basketball court and into the pool. It was pretty cold to start with but once you get in and do a quick lap, it's the seabreeze that chills your bones.

The people around us were so bored they began throwing someone's thong (that's a shoe, people- mind out of the gutter!) Fortunately we, or rather someone in our group, had come prepared with frisbee and a volleyball. Cass's many attempts to get a formal game going of something with rules- always about contolling the fun, resulted in a girls vs boys waterpoloish game. This quickly got rough with dunkings, holding back swimmers by their pants/legs and many an elbow to the throat and/or other areas. Bitten tongues, fat lips, hurt pride, hoarse voices (Cass), chunks of skin missing, cramps, inhaled water, eyes poked and one bashing to the crown jewels. (ouch!) All in fun and games right? It was good times and certainly kept us warm as the sun faded. Sore muscles today...

Took a few piccies of dubious quality on my phone while most others were playing on the court and I was warming up from my lone swim.
It was fine until I noted to Cass that her and Dan were both wearing blue...first Haley was called over
Then Steve was propositioned...
Until she finally got her 'people wearing blue in front of the blue ocean with the blue sky' photo. This doesn't look posed at all.

Dan and Steve up to their tricks

Dan finally made it to the window via the hard way (it's easily accessible from the other side)

Trying to make an obstacle course out of random fixtures doesn't always turn out so well...

Tim certainly won't like me for putting this one up, however it does lend itself to a kind of celebrity status to be posted on here...

Nevermind that it's an 8 dollar Star Wars one!
