It's complicated (and disturbing on so many levels)

Had a relaxing Saturday hanging out with Vanessa today, she's so easy to be with. We went to Chermside shopping center- it seems to be our ritual going to Borders and reading our unpaid books at the coffee store. I suppose books is a massive overstatement this time. We were catching up on what Cosmopolitan and Cleo are publishing these days: turns out it's basically the same old drivel. We decided to check out a movie and It's Complicated was the chosen one, mostly for the convenient session time. Great movie but the images of mostly naked Alec Baldwin are seared into the deepest part of my brain and it's NOT GOOD. No-one should have to endure that, it's also scarring to realise after half a second that, no, he's not wearing a sweater-that's his chest hair! Major ewww. I had to watch many, many episodes of Gossip Girl (my latest fad) with all the hot people in it to get those images out of my head.


I've got a major headache right now and am just avoiding going to bed because, well I can't sleep either. I'm supposed to be adjusting my bedtime slowly back, and waking up earlier because apparently morning light is better for the chemical levels in your brain that make you happy. (Don't ask me how I know this) The experiment is not going so well...seems that I can't even force myself to go to sleep. And even if I do manage to get to bed "on time" I still can't wake up any earlier. My programming has been set for too long in unemployed mode. Basically reverting back to my teenage holiday sleeping habits. Always what I'm aiming for.
