Lunching with the sibling...

For lunch my brother Sam picked me up in his van with Candy (his cool, punky friend.) We headed to Yeppoon to the Keppel Bay Sailing club for lunch and met up with some of his other friends (or friends of friends) Scotty, Ellis, Nat, Nick and some other guy who I can't remember. It was interesting to say the very least. I seem to have put myself in the situation where I only know one person in a whole group. Yes, it's intimidating but ultimately it's good for me to mix with people that I wouldn't normally mix with. I think it gives me a chance to find out who I am through a process of elimination of who I don't want to be. Last night I met Frank and Mickey, Jean and some other random stoner but it was good because it makes me more aware. Aware of myself more than anything. The edges have been blurred and fuzzy and now they are coming into focus just a little bit more.

I can't wait to get out of Rockhampton, mainly just to get out of this hooker hotel. It's so seedy...We actually had a guy the other night knock on our door at about 3 in the morning looking for the asian call-girl next door. I think she has a permanent room here or something, ewg I just don't want to think about it. Still waiting for Dee and Angel to return from Gladstone with the car so I can go get some food (now that we don't have a kitchen.) They went down for a party last night with some friends they knew. Last I heard, Dee couldn't find Angel and was freaking out because she had all their IDs. I don't envy that at all.

Oh and did I mention Sam dyed his hair black? Whoa! What a change- he came to visit me with Candice and i just looked straight past him without even recognising him. Of course, he thought that was genius!
