beach volleyball on a full moon

Well, the week is finally coming to a close...only one more day of work till I get some off at long long last! I am currently in the running for 10 days straight, including the Sunday which we drove all day from Bundaberg to Townsville...So on a brighter note, tonight Kraig organised beach volleyball for me to meet some more of the young ones around town. It turned out to be me meeting all the guys in town, I was the only female there! I'm sure it wasn't intended to be like that but it was fun. There was Kraig of course and Ben Cahill who I have not seen for an AGE, Lindsay, Nathan Watkins, Dave Wilson (I think) Denver Hill (jackson and spuds brother) and Rob Jentz. Anyways it was all very fun while the light lasted, a beautiful scene as the sun set on the water and the full moon rose to glitter its light on the water.

We had yummy pizza afterward with minimal conversation...I kinda felt that I had the luxury of not running the conversation when it wasn't there so felt more relaxed not needing to be at the centre of things.

Overall, I'm liking this job but just finding it hard with the other two girls being so desperate to go home. I understand their plight...don't get me wrong, heck, there's no way I'd be away from my man for that long (if I had one) so it must be tough. It's Meagan's last day tomorrow and Zita will be here until Wednesday. Two new girls are coming on Sunday, I'm kind of nervous because I will basically be spending every waking moment with them and just hope they are tolerable to live/ work with. Their names are Teagan and Sabrina. We are also having a trainer guy named Justin coming up which is a relief because I felt like they just left me hanging on the support front.

Well my eyes are getting sore looking at this tiny screen of my phone and hopefully by now I will have managed to coax the fly out of my room. It's seriously like summer here, I love it but can only imagine how stinkingly hot it would get in actual summer! There is this brown kind of ibis that is roaming the streets around here, looks normalish but gives out this high pitched call that sounds chillingly like a baby crying. It's giving me the creeps.
