The last supper
Last night Shonna, Ayla and I hosted hot drinks and snackies after the gospel meeting as my goodbye thing. So many people turned up! I wasn't really expecting it to be such a huge deal but it was incredible! Darwin brought a choccie fondue fountain (yes, he does own such a thing and we are grateful for it at times like these) and we dipped miscellaneous fruit in it. It was fantastic that so many of the people who I have hung out with in Vancouver were there.
Man I've just realised that I'm just rambling...blogging for the sake of blogging. It's not a good way to be: it's like I am forcing myself to chronicle my life on here and that is not what this is for really. Not in a dull 'dear diary' way anyhow. Ayla discovered that I had only ever heard the Canadian national anthem at a hockey game and so managed to get everyone to sing it for me. As they were all rounding up the last line, Ted very timely arrived with a Canadian flag in hand. It was all so patriotic. I at least had some Australian back-up and we sung waltzing matilda and the other aussie classic "lights on the hill" by good ol' Slim Dusty. Go on look that one up, I dare you! He released 103 albums in his lifetime, all songs including the same 3 chord sequence, amazing really that one can stretch it out so much. Talent of that kind must be recognised too.
Anyways some piccies from the night...
