Well I landed safely in LA on Wednesday night and was promptly tackled from behind by Sam who picked me up at the airport. Yesterday we went down to Mexico, it was incredible! Cross the border and immediately you can tell you're in an entirely different country. Mind you, the first thing I saw of Mexico was Tijuana...We travelled a little further south to Rosarito, went to the local markets (I've never felt so white in my life) and had the BEST tacos ever at Manuel's Tacos. So good!
Today Sam took me on a beach tour of Orange County...I think we covered about 7 beaches! It was a marathon...Huntington, Newport, Laguna, Sunset, Balboa & Corona Del Mar. Did a little tanning and jumped in the water a couple of times, never too long as I am rather attached to my toes (!) We both managed to get sunburnt but despite Sammy's 'no lines' tanning efforts, she ended up with a tshirt tan from when we were driving around I guess.
Tomorrow is the grand Los Angeles tour. Pictures of the whole trip to follow when I am back in Aussie land and am not borrowing someone else's laptop!
